Trained Protection Dogs
Our goal with our trained protection dogs is to provide fierce guardians who fit your lifestyle! We strive for genetically stable dogs who can protect when appropriate AND safely go with you to the local brewery or be be present when you have guests over.
Trained protection dogs are hand selected by our trainers from our own personal breedings! We strive to produce puppies with great health, confidence, loyalty, trainability, and some serious strength and power when it’s most important.
Choosing Puppies from our personal breedings offers significant benefits. We know their pedigrees like the back of our hand- their parents, their parent’s parents, their parent’s parent’s parents, and so on. We personally worked with many of the dogs for several generations back on our puppies. We also get to continuously evaluate each puppy from day one, always keeping an eye out for traits that might make a great personal protection dog/ home protector! Additionally, we do all of the protection and obedience training all the way until they find their home. This means we know with absolute certainty our dogs have received the best training for them and we can identify new traits/ behaviors and adjust accordingly. Providing the training throughout their young lives also translates to an ideal trajectory for each finished dog. Consistent, predictable, clear training is critical for developing a confident and stable protection dog! To sum it all up, we know these dogs through and through; in terms of genetics, temperament, and training!
Once we make our selections we raise these pups in our home and begin proper socialization, crate/potty training, teaching manners and boundaries, and age appropriate obedience and protection training. We know these pups are ready to head to their forever homes once they demonstrate proficiency in the above criteria! Our hope is to accomplish this between 1-2 years of age, HOWEVER, trained protection dogs may go to their homes sooner IF their new home is local to us and they agree to meet weekly in order to finalize their dogs training! Upon going to their new home, we provide the tools and follow up you will need to integrate into your home and help you maintain your dog’s training!
Trained protection dogs will appear on this page as soon as they are chosen, NOT once they are ready. So if you see a pup that catches your eye, it may be a several months before they are ready to go home with you! When we list a puppy here there will be photos, as well as a brief, yet detailed, description of the puppy, their background, and what they are working on so you get a great idea of who they are and what you can expect from them! Price varies based on the individual puppy, vet visits, the level of training, and the time we’ve invested in them! Once we have a good idea of an individual puppies cost it will be stated in their description. If there is no price seen for a puppy you’re interested, reach out to discuss possible pricing!
